We understand the importance of protecting the privacy of the personally identifiable information you provide to us and to our clients, advertisers, and affiliates (collectively “Affiliates”) in connection with your use of the websites, services, products, and software applications owned, managed or provided to you by Qponsr (the "Service and/or Sites"). We created this Privacy Policy to help you understand what information we collect (whether personally identifiable or not), how we collect it, how we use it, how we share it, how we protect it, and how you can control it. Your use of our website and any other services provided by the Company after such changes are implemented constitutes your acknowledgement and acceptance of these changes. Our Sites may contain links to third-party websites, products and services. This privacy policy only applies to our Sites and our collection and use of your information. The linked websites, products and services of third parties, and their collection and use of your information, are governed by the privacy policies of such third parties. Information Collected and Required by Qponsr

As part of your use of the Site, we collect both personally identifiable information and non-personally identifiable information. When you sign up as a Qponsr User, we collect and store minimal personal information in order to create an account which is comprised of your registered email address and a password (your “Account Information”). This is the only information required to use Qponsr.

You may choose to add other personally identifiable information to your Account Information in order to use additional capabilities of the Service (such as grocery store loyalty card numbers and information, etc); however such additional information is optional.

We collect and store this information in order to authorize your login to the Service, to provide the necessary capabilities of Qponsr, to better understand Users and their usage of Qposnr, to contact Users regarding information about Qponsr and to improve and make modifications to Qponsr. We also use this information to properly attribute Content uploaded by you, to contact you regarding any questions we may have regarding this Content, or to attribute any comments or posts that you may upload to Qponsr.

We also use your Account Information to validate and activate your initial registration via email, as well as to provide password recovery should you request it. We may also use your Account Information to periodically provide you with information about our products and services or other general information we believe you may find valuable.

We may also use your Account Information to contact you regarding important information, changes or updates to the Service, and these forms of communications are mandatory as part of your use of Qponsr. In other words, you cannot “opt out” of any important communications related to your use of the Qponsr service.

All of your Account Information will be kept private from other Users by default, and will change only if you explicitly decide to share this information with other Qponsr Users.

In addition, if you choose to participate in certain activities offered on the Sites (such as surveys and grocery list building and sharing), we may ask you to provide us with additional "personally identifiable" information (such as your postal mailing address, and home/mobile telephone number, etc.). In addition, you may have the option of providing us with certain demographic information about yourself or your household (such as age, gender, household income, interests, zip code, and state). There may be other occasions not specifically identified in this Privacy Policy when we may ask you to provide us with personally identifiable information. However, it will always be your decision whether to provide us with your personally identifiable information. In some cases, if you decline to share such information with us, then we may not be able to provide you with certain services. There are different ways in which we may collect information when you interact with our Sites.  Many are discussed below, but in general we may collect information when you:

  1. View, print, download, save, and/or display coupons.
  2. Redeem coupons.
  3. Register with us or our Affiliates.
  4. Use our Sites to create and sync shopping lists.
  5. Interact with advertisements on our Sites.
  6. Communicate with our customer service team for support.
  7. Participate in certain programs, offers, and promotions.
  8. Use our referral service to tell your friend(s) about our coupons.
  9. Invite others to share your shopping list.
  10. Register a retailer loyalty account or similar retailer identifier with us.
  11. Register or interact with us via Facebook Connect or other social media provider.

How We Use Your Information

We use all of the information that we collect from your use of the Sites, any information you provide when you register with us, and information provided to us by third parties as described below.  The following are the ways we use information we collect:

  1. Operate, maintain, deliver, and communicate with you about the coupons, advertisements, content, and promotional offerings found on the Qponsr.
  2. Process and record coupon requesting and redemption activity.
  3. Manage and store shopping lists.
  4. Manage and store paper and digital coupon information.
  5. Monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  6. Aggregate usage metrics (such as total number of visitors to the Sites and pages viewed, application usage and downloads, and interaction with advertisements).
  7. Understand usage trends and preferences.
  8. Improve the way Qponsr works and looks.
  9. Improve our marketing and promotional efforts.
  10. Provide you with a personalized experience on Qponsr (such as recognizing your system so that you will not have to re-enter information during your current or future visit to the Sites).
  11. Provide you with custom, personalized coupon promotions and advertisements on and off our Sites.
  12. Create new features and functionality.
  13. For other non-marketing or administrative purposes (such as customer service purposes).
  14. We also may use the device information to provide targeted ads to you based on your printing and redemption activity. 

Disclosure to Related Parties

We may disclose your Account Information and other personally identifiable information to any individual, company or entity that is either controlled or under common control of Qponsr (“Related Parties”). Should we disclose this information to Related Parties, it will be provided under the same terms of this Privacy Policy.

Disclosure to Advertisers, Merchants or Vendors

Third party advertisers do not have access to any of your Account Information unless you specifically choose to share it with them. If you choose to respond to an offer for product or services from an advertiser, sales or marketing partner (“Vendor”) of Qponsr as part of your use of the Service, you may be asked to submit additional demographic and other personal information not required by Qponsr. With your consent, this Vendor may also use your Account Information, along with any additional information you may directly provide to the Vendor. We do not collect or store any additional information that you may provide to a Vendor.

Disclosure to other Users or Individuals

Should you decide to Upload content and designate it as Public Content, any personally identifiable information provided as part of your Content will be available to other Users. This Public Content (such as recipes, recommendations, store information, saving amounts, store locations, comments on blogs or articles, etc.) may also appear in the results of searches provided by on Internet search engines. In the event that your account is terminated, it is possible that your personal information may continue to be displayed in public Internet search results for some time, even after your User account has been terminated, due to the various indexing policies of different search engines.

Disclosure to Third Parties

Qponsr will not share any of your Account Information with third parties unless you give us your permission. However, we may provide non-personally identifiable information about you in an aggregate form with other User information. For example, we may collect, aggregate and share utilization, visitors or session times, popular areas or content of the Service, etc. The third parties to which we may provide this information may include advertisers (whether current, past or potential advertisers), advertising networks or other advertising sales, marketing or technology providers, partners, sponsors, traffic measurement services or other similar parties.

Disclosure for Lawful Reasons

We may maintain your Account Information and other personally identifiable information, even in the event of suspension or termination of your use of Qponsr and may disclose this information if required to do so by law as described below. We may also provide access to your Account Information or other personally identifiable information, should we believe in good faith that we are required to do so in order to comply with legal proceedings or official investigations, including, for example, responding court orders, search warrants, subpoenas or other legal processes, including compliance with the Electronic Communications Privacy Act and the Child Online Privacy Act. We may also disclose Account Information or other personally identifiable information when we have a reasonable belief that it is necessary to contact, identify or bring legal action against a User that we believe that may, in whole or in part, violate the Terms of Use, or that otherwise might be inappropriate, illegal, offensive, or that may harm, threaten the safety of, or violate the rights of other Users or third parties.

Disclosure to Consultants and Contractors

We may employ consultants, contractors and other vendors (“Contractors”) to provide various products and services in support of the Qponsr service. Examples include (a) third party email, messaging and communications, (b) site hosting, storage and data backup, (c) development of application components or features, and (d) sales, marketing and advertising support services. During the normal course of business, these Contractors may have access to your Account Information and/or other personally identifiable information in order to provide their necessary services to Qponsr. However, Contractors are required to protect the privacy of your information with the same terms of this Privacy Policy, and they are prohibited from using or disclosing any of your information for any reason other than to fulfill their contracted services.


In the event that Qponsr, LLC is sold or is a party to a business transaction where all or substantial all of its assets are transferred to a third party, we reserve the right to transfer your Account Information and other personal information to that third party.

How We Collect Information

We will collect and use Aggregate Information as described here. Aggregate information is data we collect about group activity, and does not contain any personally identifiable information. Examples of such Aggregate Information include, but are not limited to, search queries on products, recipes or stores, checklists, types and quantities of items added to Lists, and data on how and when Users access Qponsr. We collect this information in order to better understand how Users utilize Qponsr with the goal to anticipate future User requirements and identify group trend activity. Understanding this Aggregate Information also allows us and third parties to tailor product and service offers to our Users. We may also share Aggregate Information about our Users with third parties for various purposes, such as additional analysis of data for sales, marketing, performance and usability testing and advertising.

Browser Cookies and Pixel Tags

A browser cookie ("Cookie") is a small piece of information stored by a web browser that is used to communicate with a web server when the browser connects to a web site. A browser Cookie is persistent, which means that once it is placed in your web browser, it will stay there until it is deleted. In addition to Cookies, we or third party advertisers may also utilize "Pixel Tags" (also know as "1x1 gifs," "clear gifs," or "web beacons.")

Ways in which we may use Cookies and Pixel Tags:

To store user login information and your preferences

Perhaps the simplest way we might use a Cookie is to make your Qponsr experience more efficient by saving your login and preference information.

To acquire information about your web browser in order to modify or improve your browsing experience with Qponsr

This information is stored in our web server logs (more information below on how we use web server logs) and helps provide us with information regarding how you and other Users are utilizing Qponsr.

To understand activity within any given session of Use

We may use Session Cookies to gather information regarding when and how long you use Qponsr in any given session. Session Cookies are not persistent – that is to say they are not stored in your web browser – they are deleted as soon as you close your browser.

To provide you with personalized content or other information

Based on both personal and aggregate information, we may use a browser Cookie to dynamically select from a variety of dynamic or updated content or information. We do not store any personal information in the Cookie, but we may link information in the Cookie to your Account Information. If we choose to do so, our use of the Cookie will be governed by the terms and conditions in this Privacy Policy.

To Assist in Targeted Advertising

We may use information stored in the Cookie to determine which advertisements may be displayed to you by Qponsr. Additionally, advertisements displayed to you may be served directly from third parties, and these third parties may place their own Cookies in your browser. This allows them, among other things, to recognize which advertisements are viewed and clicked. We or other third parties may use Pixel Tags personalize advertisements, track activity and gain a better understand of the effectiveness of these ads. Beyond the use of Pixel Tags on the Qponsr Service, Pixel Tags may also be placed in email messages sent from us or by third parties on our behalf. We do not have the ability to access or control Cookies or Pixel Tags that may be used by third party advertisers. Accordingly, our Privacy Policy only covers Cookies or Pixel Tags used by Qponsr and is does not encompass the use of these or other tracking methods utilized by any of its advertisers.

You may choose to block browser Cookies

Although most web browsers are by default set to accept Cookies, you do not have to accept Cookies. At any time you can exclude them from being stored in your browser by configuring it to reject Cookies (some browsers may also allow you to be notified to selectively accept or reject Cookies on a case-by-case basis). Each web browser has a different method in which to configure its Cookie policy, so refer to the help information provided by each browser developer on how to configure it. However, if you block Cookies from Qponsr, you may be prevented from signing on to Qponsr or certain features or capabilities may not work properly.

Web Server Log Files

Web servers may store anonymous, non-personally identifiable information such as browser types, domain names and incoming IP address. We may use this information to change or modify Qponsr, to assess or monitor the Service’s performance or utilization, to gather and analyze trend information and to collect demographic information. Although web server logs do not store personally identifiable information, we may link this information to your Account Information to provide personalized offers, services or advertisements to you. Should we link your Account Information with web server logs, that information will be governed under this Privacy Policy.

Affiliate Cookies:

Cookies sent to your computer by us, or our Affiliates on our behalf, are governed by this Privacy Policy. The independent use of cookies by our Affiliates is not covered by this privacy policy, as we do not have access or control over such cookies.  Generally speaking, such cookies are used by Affiliates to provide you with customized advertising. Automatically Collected Information:

When you use the Sites or open one of our emails, we use technology (including web beacons and cookies, IP addresses, unique device IDs, user IDs, and log files) to automatically collect non-personally identifiable information including:

  1. Coupon activity (including requesting, printing, and saving to a loyalty account).
  2. Application activity (such as searches performed and features accessed).
  3. Web browser type.
  4. The website that referred you to us.
  5. The web pages you viewed on the Sites.
  6. The advertisements you viewed and clicked on the Sites.
  7. The dates and times that you visited the Sites.

We may link automatically collected information to personally identifiable information you submit while on the Sites when you are logged in or in connection with a service you have requested. For example, we could store your user ID together with your email address so that you can manage and (if you chose to) share your shopping list.

Lists & List Sharing:

If you use our grocery list application we will collect and store for you the items you put on your list. We also may use that information to serve you tailored advertising, coupons or other content. For instance, if your list includes baby food, we may present you with a coupon or advertisement from us or an Affiliate for baby food or related items, such as diapers. If you choose to invite someone to share your shopping list, we will ask you to provide us with that person’s email address in order to send them your invitation. We store this information in order to administer the list sharing feature, but we do not share it with any third party. 

Location Information:

Use of the Sites, including our mobile applications, may include location-based services. If you use those services, we may receive information about your location which we may use to send you geographically relevant promotions or advertisements. In addition, this could be shared with the friends and families you have linked with your account.

Analytic Tools:

We may use tools such as Google Analytics to better understand who is using our Sites and how they are using them. These tools use cookies to collect information such as time of visit, pages visited, time spent on each page of the website, IP address, and type of operating system used. We use this information to manage and improve our Sites. You can learn how to opt-out of Google Analytics tracking software here.

Data Retention:

We retain all information we collect about you for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. 

Your Choices

If you are registered with us, you may modify, correct, or delete your personally identifiable information and preferences at any time by going to your personal account section on our website or by contacting us at We will respond to you within 30 days from the date you contact us. To protect your privacy and security, we require you to enter your email address and password before allowing access to your account on the Member Center.

Links to Other Websites

Qponsr may contain links to other websites that are outside of the domain, which are not covered by this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to be aware of when you leave the domain and read the privacy policies of every site that collects personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy only covers information collected by Qponsr. Also, please note, we do not control communications between you and Affiliates or other third parties. Please refer to such third party in order to determine their opt-out procedures. 

Facebook Connect

You may be given the opportunity to register with us via Facebook Connect. We will collect and store the information you provide us through Facebook Connect (including personally identifiable information) with any other registration information you provide us. Disabling your Facebook Connect may not terminate your account with us. 

Community Forum

We may ourselves manage and operate a discussion board or other forum (“Community Forum”) within the Sites, or use a third party hosted and managed site, for general matters of interest regarding our coupons and Sites or special programs we offer. The use of any Community Forum feature on our Sites is subject to the forum rules posted on the Community Forum site, and the use of a Community Forum on a third party site will be subject to that third-party site’s forum rules. Please take special note that if you post any personally identifiable information to a Community Forum, then that information can be read, collected, and used by other users of the Community Forums. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the personally identifiable information you post to a Community Forum, and we are not responsible for any use of information you post to a Community Forum, whether hosted by us or a third party.    

Our Commitment to Data Security

The Sites incorporate physical, electronic, and administrative procedures to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal information. Additional security measures, such as Secure Sockets Layer (“SSL”) or other technology, will be used if you engage in financial transactions on our Sites. However, as no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us.

Our Commitment To Children’s Privacy

Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important. For that reason, we do not knowingly collect or maintain information from persons under 13 years of age, and no part of our Sites is structured to attract anyone under 13. If you are under 13 years of age, then please do not use or access the Sites at any time or in any manner.
